2024 OVERNIGHT RV PARKING RULES & REGULATIONS
1. DEFINITIONS
“Applicant” means the individual applying for RV parking at the Event. “Event” means all activities taking place at the Hall managed by Event Management in Orlando, Florida between December 9-15, 2024. “Event Management” means American Kennel Club, Inc. their respective agents, employees, affiliates, volunteers, and assigns. “Hall Management” means Orange County, Florida doing business as the Orange County Convention Center, and its employees and agents. “Hall” means the Orange County Convention Center. “RV Parking Lot” means the allocated portion of Hall parking reserved for RV vehicles located along the side of the North/South building in North Lot D. “Parking Staff” means John and Linda Rowell.
2. AGREEMENT
These terms (the “Terms”) shall constitute a valid and binding agreement. Event Management reserves the right to accept or refuse any application for parking at the Event in its sole discretion. Event Management reserves the right to interpret the Terms and to adopt further regulations as may be deemed necessary by it for the general success of the Event, including the conditions, rules and regulations stated herein and the Applicant agrees to be bound thereby. The Terms apply to this Event only and does not, in any way, grant or imply future invitations. If Applicant’s response is not made in a timely manner and/or Applicant’s use parking space is in conflict with Event standards or contractual agreements, the Terms can be revoked at any time.
3. PARKING DETAILS
There are a limited number of spaces and amperage available for overnight parking in the RV Parking Lot. All overnight parking is by reservation only. Pullouts may only be used where sufficient space is available. The RV Parking Lot includes a mixture of paved and grassy areas. All parking spaces in the RV Parking Lot must be self-contained.
Parking fees include mandatory electric fees. No RV generators are allowed at any time. All RV spaces are approximately 20 feet wide. Length of spots will be determined in Parking Staff’s sole discretion based on the actual RV, but in no event will any spot be over 50 feet long. All spaces are considered handicap accessible.
Event Management and Parking Staff have sole authority to enforce all rules and regulations for the RV Parking Lot, including the Terms of this Agreement.
4. RESERVING SPACES
Applicants must completely fill out the reservation form. Spaces in the RV Parking Lot will be reserved in order of receipt of both a properly completed form (including size of RV, amperage and number of nights needed) and fully paid reservation. Spaces will be assigned based, in part, on size of RV (as denoted in Applicant’s completed form). Applicant cannot extend into any other parking spot in the RV Parking Lot. Applicant shall not sublet the parking spaces, or any part of Applicant’s assigned space, or assign this Agreement without Event Management’s prior written consent.
Reservations must be received by Event Management no later than Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 11:59pm ET, or until the limit is reached, whichever comes first.
WAIT LIST
Once all spaces in the RV Parking Lot have been assigned Event Management will provide a notice on https://www.akc.org/sports/conformation/national-championship and via email (based on the information provided in Applicant’s completed form) that a wait list has begun. Applicants who complete the reservation form after all spaces in the RV Parking Lot have been assigned will not provide any payment information unless and until a space opens up and is offered to and accepted by Applicant.
Applicants on the wait list will be notified via email and telephone (based on the information provided in Applicant’s completed form) in the event a space opens up and Applicant is next on the wait list. Upon receiving notification by Event Management, Applicant will have twenty-four (24) hours to accept and provide payment information for a space off of the wait list. Should an Applicant off of the wait list not accept or provide payment information within 24 hours, Event Management will offer the available space to the next person on the wait list.
NO REFUNDS
All reservations are non-refundable, and the payment information provided in the reservation form will be charged the full amount at the time of space assignment.
TOW CARS & GOLF CARTS
All Applicants with tow cars must denote such on Applicant’s reservation form to receive a Tow Car Pass, which pass allows access to the tow car lot. The Tow Car Pass does not allow recipients to access to the Hall parking lot without paying daily. There will be limited space provided for personal golf carts to be parked in a shared designated area outside the Hall. No personal golf carts are allowed in any Hall at any time.
MINIMUM RESERVATION
A limited number of 30-amp spaces are available on a first come, first served basis only for Applicants participating in the following activities at the Event: AKC Agility Invitational or AKC Junior Agility Competition (“Agility Activities”). Applicants participating in Agility Activities must provide proof by emailing the following information to Nationalchampionship@akc.org: (i) dog’s name, (ii) dog’s registration number, and (iii) Applicant email address. Once all of the 30-amp spaces are assigned, all Applicants, including those participating in Agility Activities, must reserve a minimum of five (5) nights for a 50-amp space. Applicants who are not participating in Agility Activities must reserve a minimum of five (5) nights for a 50-amp space.
5. MOVE IN
RV PARKING LOT
RVs with tow cars must be attached upon arrival. RV Parking Lot arrival hours are as follows:
· Sunday, December 8, 2024 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm ET
· Monday, December 9, 2024 9:00 am - 12 Noon & 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm ET
· Tuesday, December 10, 2024 8:00 am – 10:00 am & 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm ET
· Wednesday, December 11, 2024 8:00 am – 10:00 am & 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm ET
· Thursday, December 12, 2024 8:00 am – 10:00 am & 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm ET
· Friday, December 13, 2024 9:00 am – 11:00 am & 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm ET
TOW CAR LOT
Golf carts and tow cars with a Tow Car Pass can park in the tow car lot. The Tow Car Pass must be displayed on the vehicle’s rearview mirror. The tow car lot is accessible 24 hours, seven days a week. Golf carts that do not fit within the assigned space in the RV Parking Lot will receive a Tow Car Pass and be parked in the tow car lot.
STORAGE LOT
Cube vans and small trucks may be parked in the storage lot for a one-time fee of fifty dollars ($50) for the Event, payable on-site to Parking Staff. Storage lot vehicles should check in with Parking Staff at the RV Parking Lot upon arrival. Parking Staff will open the gate on the storage lot for the vehicles to park.
6. MOVE OUT
All RVs and related vehicles must be out of the RV Parking Lot, the tow car lot and storage lot no later than 9:00pm ET on the applicable day of departure. For Applicants who have reserved spaces on Sunday, December 15, 2024, the time of departure is 9:00am ET on Monday, December 16, 2024.
7. APPEARANCE
RVs must be self-contained, in good repair, neat and clean in appearance. All RV’s must bear the insignia of compliance with the statutes and rules of building codes of the state or country it was manufactured in and not be altered unless approved by that state, country or the state of Florida. All vehicles kept on Event property must be operational, with current registration and insurance.
All vehicles must be street legal, currently registered and licensed, and owned or licensed by Applicant, operational, and properly parked. Applicant agrees to abide by all parking rules established now or in the future by Florida Law or Event Management. No trailers, campers, vehicles, motorcycles, boats, or commercial vehicles are allowed in the RV Parking Lot without Event Management’s consent. Applicant is not to repair or dissemble vehicles in the RV Parking Lot. Vehicles not meeting the above requirements and additional rules may be towed at Applicant’s expense.
8. USE OF SPACE
ADDITIONAL VEHICLES
Additional cars associated with any RV space (e.g., golf carts, tow cars, trucks, etc.) must either be left in the tow car lot (with a Tow Car Pass) or storage lot and cannot be left overnight in the facility parking lot. Vehicles left overnight in the facility parking lot may be towed, and action will be taken by Event Management for those who violate this rule.
If Applicant has a fifth wheel, Applicant must note on their reservation form the length of the fifth wheel and must unhook before parking in the RV Parking Lot. In Event Management’s sole determination, if any fifth wheel that does not fit in a single space in the RV Parking Lot based on the measurements provided in the Applicant’s completed reservation form, the Applicant will be required to purchase a second space in the RV Parking Lot upon assignment by Event Management.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
Only reserved RVs and associated vehicles are allowed to park in the RV Parking Lot. Absolutely no other vehicles will be allowed in RV Parking Lot to drop off dogs and temporarily park. This will be strictly enforced, and any unauthorized vehicles will be towed or ticketed by law enforcement.
No business or commercial activity of any nature shall be conducted on Event property, including the RV Parking Lot. No open flame, grills, pits, or fires will be allowed on premises. Applicants may not allow dogs to damage the grass areas of the RV Parking Lot.
Event Management reserves the right to decline, prohibit or expel any vehicle which, in its judgment, is in violation of the terms of this Agreement or otherwise acts against the interests of the Event, this reservation being all inclusive as to persons, things, animals, conduct, sound level, and the like.
ELECTRICITY
In the event Applicant reserves 30 Amp service and Applicant’s RV trips breaker, Applicant will be required to upgrade to a 50-amp service and pay the additional fee on-site to Hall Management. All electric issues are to be handled by Hall Management. In no event can Applicants share electricity with others using the RV Parking Lot.
QUIET TIMES
Noisy or obstructive exhibits or activities producing objectionable noise or odors are prohibited. Sound amplifying devices may be operated only at levels not objectionable to other Applicants. Between the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am ET daily, Applicant and Applicant’s employees, agents, guests and volunteers shall not use loud music or excessive noise.
DUMPING WASTE
A dumpster will be placed in each row for Applicant’s trash in the RV Parking Lot. Please place securely tied plastic trash bags in the dumpster on at least a daily basis. Applicant is solely responsible for keeping Applicant’s space in the RV Parking Lot clean.
There will be an allocated dumping service available for both grey and black water. Upon Applicant’s arrival, Applicant will have to schedule and pay for this service through Parking Staff. The estimated cost for the dumping service is $40 and will be solely determined by the dumping service provider. Dumping of grey waters on RV Parking Lot grounds is strictly prohibited. Anyone found dumping grey waters on the grounds will be immediately suspended from being able to continue parking in the RV Parking Lot.
9. RELEASE/WAIVER
Parking in the RV Parking Lot, storage lot and tow car lot is solely at the Applicant’s own risk. The Applicant, by submitting this reservation form, waives any and all claims and causes of action against The American Kennel Club, Inc., Royal Canin Inc. USA, Eukanuba, Mars Inc., Brevard Kennel Club, Space Coast Kennel Club of Palm Bay, Central Florida Kennel Club, Orlando Dog Training Club, any specialty club, The Crew Special Event Staffing, Kiarry Enterprises, Site Control Services, Orange County Convention Center and Orange County Florida, and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this Event; any judge, judging at this Event; and any volunteers of the aforementioned parties, their employees, and agents related to loss of, or damage to the vehicle or its contents, including all claims and causes of action arising out of the negligence of such parties. The Applicant agrees to indemnify The American Kennel Club, Inc., Royal Canin Inc. USA, Eukanuba, Mars Inc., Brevard Kennel Club, Space Coast Kennel Club of Palm Bay, Central Florida Kennel Club, Orlando Dog Training Club, The Crew Special Event Staffing, Kiarry Enterprises, Site Control Services, Orange County Convention Center and Orange County Florida, any provider of services that are necessary to hold this Event; any judge, judging at this Event; and any volunteers of the aforementioned parties, their employees, and agents for any and all loss by fire, theft or damage, or loss of personal property, or the loss or injury to the animals in their charge while on the grounds of the Hall or parking area.
10. PERMISSION
Applicant consents and agrees to receive (i) communications sent by or on behalf of Show Management including from third parties to the email address provided in the reservation form. (ii) By opting-in or otherwise agreeing to receive text messages from or on behalf of the Show Management or by otherwise providing your phone number to Show Management, Applicant agrees to these SMS Terms.
By Opting in to a Text Message Service:
1) Applicant is authorizing the Show Management to use autodialer or non-autodialer technology to send text messages to the mobile number associated with Applicant’s Opt-In. Applicant also authorizes the Show Management to including marketing content in any such messages. Applicant does not have to Opt-in or agree to Opt-in as a condition of purchase.
2) Applicant is signing Applicant’s Opt-in to the text message service.
3) Applicant confirms that Applicant is the subscriber to the relevant phone number or that Applicant is the customary user of that number on a family or business plan and that Applicant is authorized to Opt-in and that Applicant is over 18 years of age.
4) Applicant consents to the use of an electronic record to document Applicant’s Opt-in.
How to Opt Out and/or Get Help
1) To stop receiving text messages from Show Management, Applicant agrees to reply STOP to the text message or use the unsubscribe link Show Management provided to Applicant with in any of Show Management’s messages. Applicant understands and agrees that alternative methods of Opting-Out, such as using alternative words or requests will not be accounted as a reasonable means of Opting-Out. After texting STOP, Applicant may receive additional communications confirming that Applicant’s request has been received and processed, and Applicant may continue to receive text messages for a short period while Show Management processes Applicant’s request(s). If Applicant opts out of one Show Management text messaging services, Applicant will remain opted in to other Show Management text messaging services (if applicable) unless Applicant opts out of those programs separately.
2) If Applicant needs further assistance, text HELP to the number sending the message, or contact Show Management customer service at 1 (919) 233-9767.
After opting out of receiving text messages, Applicant can re-enroll in any Show Management text messaging services by following the instructions for that service. Applicant must notify the Show Management in the event Applicant’s phone number is changed or deactiviated.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to Applicant from or on behalf of Show Management, and messages sent to Show Management from Applicant. If Applicant has any questions about Applicant’s text plan or data plan, it is best to contact Applicant’s wireless provider.
11. INSURANCE - MANDATORY
By submitting a reservation form, Applicant attests to maintaining, and agrees to continue to maintain adequate insurance to fully protect Event Management and its affiliates, co-sponsors, service contractors and the Hall and Hall Management from claims, arising from Applicant’s activities including, but not limited to, the overnight parking in the RV Parking Lot, storage lot and tow car lot. The foregoing insurance requirement includes claims under the Worker’s Compensation Act or for personal injury, death, or for damage to property. Applicant understands that neither Event Management nor the Hall Management maintains insurance covering the Applicant’s property and it is the sole responsibility of the Applicant to obtain such insurance.
Applicant is responsible for damages caused by Applicant or Applicant’s agents, employees or guests. Applicant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Event Management, Hall Management, Hall and their affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, assigns and employees from and against any liability for loss or damage of any kind, which Applicant may directly cause.
Applicant must carry: Automobile Liability insurance with limits not less than $1,000,000 and an umbrella/excess liability in the amount of $1M per occurrence and in the aggregate. These coverages must be evidenced by a Certificate of Insurance, upon request, with a 30-day notice of cancellation provision to the holder. The certificate must name American Kennel Club, Inc., Hall Management, and Orange County, Florida dba Orange County Convention Center as an additional insureds and contain a waiver of subrogation is granted in their favor of American Kennel Club, Inc and Event Management and be provided to Event Management upon request.
12. LIABILITY
Applicant voluntarily assumes full responsibility for any risks of loss of to property (including but not limited to Applicant’s equipment) and/or personal injury, including serious illness, injury or death, that may be sustained by Applicant and Applicant’s employees, agents, guests and volunteers or by others who come into contact with Applicant and Applicant’s employees, agents, guests and volunteers, as a result of Applicant’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
If any of the provisions, terms or clauses of this Agreement is declared illegal, unenforceable or ineffective in a legal forum, those provisions, terms and clauses shall be deemed severable, such that all other provisions, terms and clauses of this Agreement shall remain valid and binding upon both parties.
Applicant acknowledges and agrees that Event Management shall have no responsibility for Applicant’s safety or the safety or protection of any of Applicant’s possessions. Applicant agrees to notify Parking Staff or Event Management in the event Applicant observes or learns of suspicious or illegal acts on Event property.
13. SECURITY
Event Management will provide perimeter guard service during the Event and while the Hall is closed. Applicant agrees that Event Management is not liable for anything its guard service or facility security does or fails to do. This includes, but is not limited to, damage, theft, or loss sustained by Applicant.
14. APPLICABLE LAW AND VENUE
The Terms shall be governed by Florida law without application of its conflict of laws principles. Any suit relating to the Terms shall be instituted in a state or federal court in Florida, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of any such court.
